Summary of Environmental Assessment Process

Project Description:

Mr. Brian Johnson proposes stabilize the river bank adjacent to his property, 1 Maple Street, Humber Village, to prevent further erosion. The proposed site is located on the shoreline of the Humber River near the access bridge to the Humber Village. The project will consist of the construction of a crib wharf and placement of armour stones to stabilize the bank and then filling in behind the armour stones with clean rock fill. The project will begin once approval is granted.

  • June 27, 2012 - The undertaking was registered.
  • August 3, 2012 - Public comments are due.
  • August 11, 2012 - The Minister's decision is due.
  • December 10, 2012 - The Minister announced that the project is released.
