Project Description:

The proponent intends to establish a facility at the intersection of Routes 101 and 202 in Long Harbour to offer specialized training to pipe fitters. Trainees will be instructed in joining fiberglass reinforced polymer (frp) pipe sections using fiberglass and resins. The training program will operate for the duration of the construction phase at the Vale plant in Long Harbour, scheduled to be completed in February, 2013.

  • August 18, 2011 - The undertaking was registered.
  • September 22, 2011 - Public comments are due.
  • October 1, 2011 - The Minister's decision is due.
  • November 2, 2011 - The Minister announced that the project is released.
