Project Description:

The proposal includes an amendment to the existing Green Island Lake Cottage Development Plan, near the community of Flowers Cove on the Northern Peninsula. The amendment consists of six changes to the existing plan, and will provide for a potential allocation of 130 remote recreational cottage lots. The additional cottage allocation will meet the existing and anticipated demand for the area, while providing a mechanism to accommodate a limited number of existing structures. All lots are unserviced and are only accessible by snowmobile, walking, aircraft or all terrain vehicle (approved trails only).

  • March 2, 2011 - The undertaking was registered.
  • April 7, 2011 - Public comments are due.
  • April 15, 2011 - The Minister's decision is due.
