Summary of Environmental Assessment Process

Project Description:

The proponent proposes the construction of an all terrain vehicle (ATV) trail to access remote cabins at Yellow Cove, near Terrenceville on the Burin Peninsula. The trail will be located between Big Diver Pond, near Terrenceville and Yellow Cove and will be approximately 9.5 kilometres in length and a maximum of four metres wide. Construction of the trail is to include manual labour and use of an excavator and is expected start in the summer upon receipt of required permits.

  • February 24, 2011 - The undertaking was registered.
  • April 1, 2011 - Public comments are due.
  • April 9, 2011 - The Minister's decision is due.
  • April 20, 2011 - The Minister announced that the project is released.
