Public Consultation on Proposed Amendment No. 1, 2018 to the Trinity South Highway (Route 80) Protected Road Zoning Plan (Winterton)

The Department of Municipal Affairs and Environment is considering amending the Trinity South Highway (Route 80) Protected Road Zoning Plan in the Town of Winterton. In accordance with section 14 of the Urban and Rural Planning Act, public consultation is required when amending a provincial protected road zoning plan to solicit input from interested persons, community groups and other stakeholders.

The purpose of the amendment is to rezone land on both sides of Route 80 in the Town of Winterton, south of the Salvation Army Citadel, to accommodate future and existing residential development. Amendment No. 1, 2018 proposes to rezone this area from ‘Rural Conservation’ to ‘Mixed’.

Please see the draft amendment and the Google Earth file for locational reference.

Please contact the Local Governance and Land Use Planning Division if you wish to submit comments or require clarification regarding this consultation opportunity. Anyone wishing to submit comments regarding the draft amendment should do so by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday October 11, 2018.
