Proponent: Tenacity Gold Mining Company Ltd.

Summary of Environmental Assessment Process

Project Description:

The proposal is to test mine, collect a bulk sample and test mill a portion of the known Deer Cove gold-quartz vein. The sample would include 4,325 tonnes from the test mine and 4,275 tonnes from a low-grade stockpile existing on site. The material is to be trucked to, and test-milled, at the currently operating Nugget Pond gold mill near Snooks Arm. The deposit is located approximately 4.2 kilometres north of Ming’s Bight, near Baie Verte. There is an existing 6.5 kilometre gravel road from Ming’s bight to the deposit. The project is to commence in June, 2009, depending upon approval.
